Act2act Youth Theatre presents: Little Shop of Horrors

Little Shop of Horrors" is a delectable sci-fi horror musical comedy which tells the story of Seymour, a meek flower shop assistant who happens upon a strange plant. Little does he know that this extra-terrestrial plant will develop a thirst for blood and a drive for world domination.

Pump House CYT presents: Our House

DATE: 18 January

Based in 1980s Camden Town, the Our House tells the story of London lad Joe Casey, who, on the night of his sixteenth birthday, takes Sarah, the girl of his dreams, out on their first date. In an effort to impress her with bravado, he breaks into a building site overlooking his home on Casey Street, which is owned by Mister Pressman, a high-end property developer. The police turn up, at which point Joe’s life splits into two: the Good Joe, who stays to help, and Bad Joe, who flees.
Featuring a collection of Madness hits including House of Fun, Baggy Trousers, Driving in my Car, It Must Be Love and of course Our House, the show is a huge British musical hit!

Watford Open Mic @ The Pump House

At The Pump House you will find the Watford Open Mic team...Open to all musicians, players, songwriters and performers, we offer 15 minute sets with a full set up of mic's, amps etc. just turn up and put your name down and play....
We are a friendly team who have been running this event for 5 years now. All styles are welcomed and we have a varied and diverse mix of performers. As we are not in a pub we can offer a more attentive listening audience and have become known for our sound quality. We are very lucky to have some talented regulars too, so come on down to enjoy a great evening of musical entertainment, no two weeks are ever the same...

The Pump House LIVE Jazz Club

DATE: Every Thursday, 8.15pm

The Pump House LIVE Jazz Club- Watford, has been putting on the very best of live traditional jazz for over 40 years featuring some of the jazz world's top musicians.

We host a different live band each week playing three sets built around traditional, New Orleans and Dixieland music, but do expect other styles in the mix.

Our atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive. Everyone with a love of jazz or just a curiosity to hear what goes on is most welcome, young and not so young.

We offer a well-stocked bar with guest ales, snacks and a legendary raffle - always featuring a few surprises!

Watford Folk Club

Home to the best in Acoustic, Blues, Roots and both modern and traditional folk music.

The Watford Folk Club is the friendliest Folk Club in Watford. There has been a Folk Club at The Pump House since 1973. The present Club has been open since 2008 and is run by a committee and willing volunteers, all of whom are passionate about Folk music. The Watford folk Club is 10 years old in October 2018!

The Watford Folk Club has an enviable reputation for the quality and the quantity of its floor singers/players and for headlining new and established Folk performers.

Music 24

DATE: 1st & 3rd Tuesday each month, 10am - 11.30am

Pump House are pleased to welcome Music 24- Musical Herts is a new service coming to Hertfordshire that aims to engage with people with a diagnosis of Dementia and their carers.

Weekly sessions will offer the opportunity for people to make music in a friendly welcoming environment and explore their creativity. Activities include singing and improvising with musical instruments, songwriting, dancing and singing familiar songs, with an element of relaxation, reflection and reminiscence. No prior musical experience required, just a love of music and willingness to engage with others. Carers are welcome to stay and share the sessions or use the time as respite.

Volunteers Needed:
We are looking for fun and enthusiastic people to join our team, no musical experience is necessary (but an added bonus), just a willingness to take part and help others to engage in the activities is required. For details email:

Woodside Morris Men

DATE: Every Wednesday, 8pm

Woodside Morris Men are Watford's very own exponents of this most traditional of English arts. Some call it the English martial art !

In the summer months we can be found at pubs, fetes and festivals: the rest of the year we practice at the Pump House. Why not join us - or maybe you know someone who is secretly wishing to have a go. As we celebrate our 60th anniversary in 2017 there is never a better time.

We welcome new members at any time, and especially in the Autumn and Winter so that they can learn the dances for the following summer.

ARC (Art Resource Centre)

DATE: Tuesdays, 10am-2pm / Wednesdays, 9am-1pm

Try your hand at drawing, painting or textiles. Experiment with pastels, watercolours, acrylics and oils. You will be offered help and advice but no formal lessons. You are welcome to browse through our wide selection of art books and magazines and have a coffee and a chat in a relaxed environment.
